Some sessions feel extra special to share and birth stories are always at the top of that list.
Being invited to photograph a birth is something I never take for granted. It’s such a vulnerable, emotional space, and getting to quietly document those first moments of a baby’s life is truly an honor.

When I arrived, things were already moving along. The room had that mix of anticipation and focus that you always feel during labor. Mom was working through contractions with so much strength, and dad stayed right by her side the entire time — encouraging her, holding her hand and just being there through every moment.
Labor has this way of slowing time down. Minutes feel long, the room gets quiet between contractions and everyone is just waiting for that moment when everything changes.

It wasn’t long until The M Family got to welcome their newest little one, Baby Rhys. Those first few minutes after birth are some of my favorite moments to photograph. No one is thinking about the camera, they’re just soaking in their baby for the first time.
Tiny fingers. The first snuggle. Dad leaning in close. Mom finally getting to see the little face she worked so hard to bring into the world.

It’s raw and emotional and beautiful in the most real way.
I’m so excited to share a few sneak peeks from this incredible birth. What a powerful day and such a sweet family to witness it with.
Welcome to the world, little one.
